Fatma Güdü, Nur der Narr im Schellenkleid, 2024, Oil on canvas, 51 x 41 cm, Unique work, € 1,900
Fatma Güdü’s paintings and sculptures emerge from a laborious process of rapprochement, maturation and renewed revision. In her practice she regularly returns to portraits, but also landscapes and animal depictions, that go far beyond their figurative representation. As an edition, Fatma Güdü shares her new work “Der Narr im Schellenkleid“ (The Fool in the Bell Dress), where the figure of the fool combines fool’s and artist’s existence but also the self- and external perception.
Fatma Güdü (b. 1983 in Nuremberg, DE) is a painter and sculptor. She has recently presented her works in solo and group exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Schweinfurt, The White Ermine and Rinde am Rhein, both in Düsseldorf, and the Kunsthaus Dresden.
