The Supporters envisions a system of dependency that places each entity (Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, Kunstverein Nürnberg, and Galerie Max Mayer) in a looping circuit of donations that implies flows of reciprocal demands and compensations. Negotiations took place between 2019 and 2021. The envisaged scenarios were confronted with legal, ethical and interest impediments. An agreement is signed in extremis.
The Kunstverein Nürnberg – Albrecht Dürer Gesellschaft was founded in 1792 and aims to present new ways of thinking within contemporary art in regular exhibitions, guided tours, artist talks, lectures, film programmes and publications, and to anchor them in our present through dialogue and shared art experiences. Since 2003, the Kunstverein has had exhibition space in the Milchhof administration building on Wöhrder See, which was designed by Otto Ernst Schweizer and built in 1931.
With your membership you support all the activities and programmes of the Kunstverein. With your contribution, you promote young and experimental art production and meet other art enthusiasts at the Kunstverein’s events.
