Kunstverein Nürnberg – Albrecht Dürer Gesellschaft

We warmly invite you to two concerts by Evelyn Plaschg and Reto Pulfer, presented as part of the exhibition ibid.

Evelyn Plaschg performs material from her forthcoming album Alphabet, which draws together recordings made between 2018 and 2025, tracing the development of a musical vocabulary. Lo-fi and field recordings sit alongside high-resolution studio sessions; phone recordings from travels, subway platforms, summer walks and piano improvisations gradually migrate into new sonic terrain. Rather than a compilation, Alphabet unfolds as a carefully composed sequence in which individual pieces transform one another. A Baroque-inflected tenor recorder, layered vocals, electronic synthesis, textures and noise move between rhythm and drift, while the voice shifts between sung, ambient and spoken passages. Her live performances follow a similar logic: tenor recorder, voice, synthesizers and field recordings blend into constantly shifting constellations, creating an immersive space.

Reto Pulfer’s artistic practice combines sound, textiles, sculpture and botanical processes to create poetic environments. Using repurposed fabrics, hand-sewn tents and large-scale textiles, he constructs immersive installations that move between reality and imagination. His work encompasses painting, sculpture, writing, botanical research, natural dyeing, braiding techniques, soundscapes, performance and musical collaborations. For his performance at the Kunstverein, Pulfer brings this multidisciplinary practice into the concert setting, developing an open composition of sound, voice and atmosphere.

Free of admission and no registration required.
