A very warm welcome to artist Sofia Defino Leiby who is appointed as Marianne-Defet-Malerei-stipend by Kunstverein Nürnberg. Sofia will live and work at Atelier- und Galeriehaus Defet from March till July 2025. 

The residency will lead to a solo exhibition at Kunstverein Nürnberg, that opens September 5th, 2025 and an accompanying publication.

In memory of his wife Marianne Defet, Hans Friedrich Defet has founded the Marianne-Defet-Malerei-stipend, which is run by their foundation and da Vinci @davinci_artistbrushes_official, @schmincke_official, @hahnemuehle_global. Sofia Defino Leiby is the 28th stipend of the program.
