Der Kunstverein Nürnberg – Albrecht Dürer Gesellschaft präsentiert die Gruppenausstellung „Dear Developer,…“, welche das Ergebnis einer zweijährigen Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Lehrstuhl für Bildhauerei der AdBK Nürnberg von Prof. Michael Stevenson, dem RobotLab von der TH Nürnberg von Prof. Peter Heß und der Mitwirkung des Choreographen Geo Wyeth ist. Durch die Förderung von LEONARDO – Zentrum für Kreativität und Innovation konnte diese Zusammenarbeit und Ausstellung realisiert werden.
In einer Zeit des Wandels und der Veränderung des sozialen Status am Arbeitsplatz betrachtet diese Ausstellung die bewohnte Welt der Entwickler:innen und ihrer Mitarbeiter:innen neu. In den Räumen des Kunstvereins entsteht durch eine Auswahl von Kunstwerken und Artefakten eine Inszenierung der zeitgenössischen Arbeitswelt. In Anlehnung eines Gewerbegebiets, Technologiesektors und Coworkings lesen und navigieren die Räume anhand ihrer Einstellungen und visuellen Präsentation.

The Kunstverein presents the group exhibition „Dear Developer,…“, which is the result of a two-year collaboration between the Department for Sculpture at the AdBK Nuremberg by Prof. Michael Stevenson and the RobotLab of the TH Nuremberg by Prof. Peter Heß, as well as the participation by choreographer Geo Wyeth. This cooperation and exhibition could realized through the support of LEONARDO – Center of Creativity and Innovation.
At a time of flux and shifting status in the workplace this exhibition reconsiders the inhabited world of the developer, and their coworkers. Within the Kunstverein’s spaces a selection of artworks and artefacts combine to form a mise-en-scène of the contemporary work environment. Reflecting on the business park, co-working, and technology sector, the rooms read and navigate by means of their settings and visual presentation.

Dokumentation der Performance / Documentation of the performance: „Als liefe man Meilen in dieser Mündung“, Anouk Albrecht, Kunstverein Nürnberg, 2022 _______________________________________________________________ Anouk Albrechts Arbeit trägt die Zunge in den Händen: Ihr personalisierter, systemischer Körperanzug verleiht der menschlichen Stimme Gewicht und ermöglicht es, das gesprochene Wort zu verstärken und es in eine bestimmte Richtung zu lenken. Dieser Apparat ist sowohl eine funktionale Körpererweiterung als auch eine unpraktische Veränderung wesentlicher Körperfunktionen. Indem er unter diesen Bedingungen performt, schwelgt Albrecht in den dichten Qualitäten des gesprochenen Wortes, während sie gleichzeitig die Last der technologischen Kommunikation offenlegt. (Text: Joannie Baumgärtner) EN: Anouk Albrecht’s work carries its tongue in its hands: her personalized, systemic body-suit adds weight to the human voice and allows to both amplify the spoken word and point it towards a specific direction. This apparatus is both a functional body enhancement as well as an unpractical alteration of essential body functions. we would like to invite you to a 3 week-long tale of innovation – a user story with many holes. Onboarding begins soon: July 15! Don’t miss the opening events and our special, special guest performances. Explore the worlds of freedom; security, hardware, software, synergetic constellations, scripted characters, inputs, outputs, industry pitches, aesthetic responses, coaching sessions, zoom calls, think tanks, and the perfect coffee cup and robots, black boxes, concerns, uncertainties, intimacies, potentials, frustrations, communications, exchanges, frequencies, interferences, vibrations, resonances, SUVs, USBs, OBJs, and the challenge of navigating a storm.
The Kunstverein Nürnberg is presenting our long-term collaborative research project between the Department of Sculpture at AdBK Nuremberg (Prof. Michael Stevenson) and the Robotics Department of the TH Nuremberg (Prof. Peter Hess). In cooperation with guests and experts, a group of artists explore the social fabric of today’s tech industry by participating and undertaking the steps required to develop a product and complete one task in this innovative world – the world of the developer.
